This art was for my ZENTANGLE project. For this assignment I had to use the ZENTANGLE  method to create a drawing of an object of my choice. I also may choose to create an identifiable object or free forms.

Art critique of the Mona Lisa

                   This art is called the Mona Lisa is was created by Leonardo da Vinci. The art work was created by oil on poplar panel the location it was made was in muse du louvre Paris. The Mona Lisa, also known as The Gioconda, has gained the status of the most famous painting in the world due to a combination of various bohemian predilections and series of events, most of which evolved and took place during the 20th century.

                    In the painting the face and hands of the woman is brightly portrayed. Her clothes are dark also the background, the portrait I think it is very mysterious. The difference in color also shows distance and depth. The shadowing makes the portrait of the woman real.

                    Her mysterious smile looks as if it is holding a secret that nobody else would know. This panting I find mysterious and dark like she is hiding something. I think the veil on her hair represent her life. I think she went through a lot of hardship through out her life. It looks like a lady how has a fake smile like hiding something. the painting uses shadows that blend with the colors to create the object and make it look like the panting is blending with the holed panting.

                   In conclusion the painting is the most famous painting to millions of viewers every year. The most talk about feature of the painting is the smile on the woman which everybody has a different interpretation of the painting. Most people interpretation of the smile is that she is holding a secret. So I think this panting is a mystery and that is why I like it so much.
